What you’ll do

• We are looking for a People & Culture Trainee to join the team at SLS Barcelona. Under the guidance of the People & Culture team, you will support the team in the day-to-day People & Culture operations while gaining hands-on experience in different areas of the department
• Support the People & Culture team with daily administrative tasks
• Assist in the recruitment process by posting job vacancies, screening CVs and communicating with candidates
• Support the onboarding process by preparing documentation and coordinating new starters' first day
• Help collect and prepare employee documentation and ensure personnel files are complete and up to date
• Assist in maintaining employee information in the HRIS (Factorial/Workplace)
• Help answer employees' basic HR-related queries or direct them to the appropriate person
• Assist with the organization and allocation of employee lockers
• Support the organization of employee engagement activities, internal events, and People & Culture initiatives
• Help maintain an updated candidate database and talent pipeline
• Provide general administrative support to the People & Culture department and assist with ongoing HR projects

What we are looking for

• You´re studying a bachelor´s/master´s degree in hospitality or a related field
• You have the possibility to sign an agreement with your school for a period of preferably 6 months
• Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and have a high-level attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fluent in Spanish and English
• You take ownership of important issues, solve problems, and make effective decisions
• You learn quickly and adapt to SLS’s unique culture
• You are humble and open to ideas. We leave our ego at the door and help get things done
• You’re up for doing things differently and trying (almost) everything once
