We are seeking a motivated Food & Beverage Management Intern to join the team at SLS Barcelona. Reporting directly to the management team of Food & Beverage, this role will support them in the day-to-day operations of one outlet of the Food & Beverage department, ensuring seamless service delivery and operational efficiency. You will be personally and actively involved in both front-of-house operations and back-office responsibilities for the assigned outlet, serving on the front line of guests whenever needed while also supporting operational and administrative functions. More specifically:
Front-of-house Support: Supporting the front-of-house operations of the assigned outlet, ensuring smooth operations and delivering excellent guest experience
Back-of-house Support: Assist the management team of Food & Beverage department with back-office operations, including setting up products, menus, and pricing. Update restaurant menus regularly, implementing seasonal changes, price adjustments, and introducing new dishes and beverages as needed
Generate reports on sales trends, costs, and profitability. Analyze data to evaluate department performance and support decision-making processes. Provide insights and recommendations for improvement based on key performance indicators (KPIs)
Reporting & Analysis
Coordinate VIP reservations, ensuring exceptional, personalized service for high-profile guests. Work with the team to exceed guest expectations and ensure an unforgettable experience
Analyze booking patterns and trends to develop strategies aimed at maximizing occupancy and revenue. Work closely with other teams to identify opportunities to enhance sales and profitability
Manage invoices and payments related to DJs, promoters, and complementary services. Ensure accurate billing and compliance with financial agreements
Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and maintain high service standards. Assist in training and mentoring team members, fostering a positive and productive environment

What we are looking for
Possibility to sign an agreement with your school for a period of preferably 6 months
Currently enrolled in a bachelor´s or master´s program in Hospitality, Restaurant Management or a related field
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Knowledge of hotel food & beverage systems and software is a plus
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Spanish and English
Multitasking & Attention to Detail: Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with a keen eye for detail
Problem Solving & Decision Making: Capable of taking ownership of challenges, solving problems, and making effective decisions
